Cream Of Crab Soup

This soup is so easy and has lots of crabmeat in every spoonful. Your family will love the flavor, and it is always a hit at family gatherings.

SERVES 4 -6 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

    Melt margarine in large Dutch Oven.
  2. 2
    Blend the flour with margarine stirring until smooth.
  3. 3
    Stir in broth and seasonings.
  4. 4
    Slowly add milk, stirring until slightly thickened.
  5. 5
    Add the crab to the soup but do not allow the soup to boil.
  6. 6
    Simmer for about 20 minutes.
  7. 7
    Remove from the heat and serve.

    i tried this recipe along with another from this site. i subed a jar of clam juice for the chicken broth. both were GREAT, but this one was easier to make.

    Excellent Recipe!! Well I didn't have any old bay seasoning on hand, so I used crab boil seasoning. There wasn't any left by the end of dinner time. It's great with a salad and bread!! Thanks for a great recipe!!!
