You know how things are always popping into your head when you are laying in bed? Well, that's what happen to me. My Dad use to make these sandwiches for my brother and me. How can something so simple be so good? You decide....

3 sandwiches (change servings and units)

Ingredients

  • 6 slices white bread
  • 6 ounces cream cheese
  • 6 ounces grape jelly

Directions

  1. 1
    Spread cream cheese on three slices of bread.
  2. 2
    Spread jelly on top of cheese.
  3. 3
    Top each with another slice of bread. Cut each sandwich in fours.
  4. 4
    Enjoy with a tall glass of milk and don't forget to lick your fingers!

    If Mom had allowed it, I'd have lived on these sandwiches when I was a kid. Actually, I think I still could, they are that good. They're also wonderful made with raspberry jam. Thanks for the memories, HH!

    What a pleasant reminder of a sandwich I used to enjoy as a kid. I haven't had one in years; that's about to change. I'll be introducing these tasty treats to my granchildren for their next lunch. Thanks, Happy Harry #2, for a wonderful reminder of foods we enjoyed in days gone by.
