I got this recipe from a grilling cookbook. I thought I was in burger heaven when I took a bite of this hamburger. The cream cheese just seeps out of these garlic burgers. Mmmm... their good!

SERVES 6 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Put hamburger meat in a bowl and add garlic, salt and pepper.
  2. 2
Mix together with your hands until just blended.
  3. 3
Make 12 patties no more than 1 inch thick.
  4. 4
Spread cream cheese in the center if 6 patties, approximately 1 oz. per patty. (Don't spread all the way to the edge).
  5. 5
Put remaining patties on top of the cream cheese and seal the ends all the way around with your fingers. (Don't pinch too hard or the ends will be too thin).
  6. 6
Grill on high to your desired taste. (About 8-10 minutes).
  7. 7
Note: It takes a little longer than normal for the meat to cook inside because of the cream cheese.

Excellent burger - I used Cheddar instead of cream cheese - cut the recipe back to 2 burgers - We really enjoyed them - Into my favorite burgers cook book it goes.

These are awesome!!! I made these tonight for dinner and my kids and I loved them. I was a little leary about all the garlic!!! These shouldn't be any vampires around for miles....lol. They were very good. The cream cheese and garlic compliment each other very nicely. DD#1 said she likes these burgers "the best". So I'm sure I will be making these again very soon. Thank you for sharing this yummy recipe with us.

Everyone loved these! They were the messiest burgers I have ever eaten, but the taste was indescribable. Next time, I think I will cut it down to 4 burgers to help the meat contain the cheese. I love stuffed burgers, and these lived up to my expectations. Thanks for sharing your recipe! Made for ZWT5.
