This was a nice change from the traditional sweet breads my family makes for the holidays. We especially liked the little pockets of cranberry sauce - yum. The texture was very nice - somewhere between dense like a sweet bread and fluffy like a cake, but that made it difficult to slice. I had to bake it a full hour for it to be thoroughly cooked which resulted in a bit of a scorched taste on the crust. I wonder if it would work better in an 8x8 and served in squares rather than slicing or maybe in as muffins - that might solve both my length of baking time and the slicing issues. Quick, easy and nice that all the ingredients were in the fridge or on the shelf. Thanks Divinemom5.
