Oh so good! Used frozen whole green beans which worked well. I always have ham in the freezer, but rarely bacon, so this recipe was a great find. Great flavor of Southern green beans, with no need to simmer all day. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

I was looking for a way to use up ham. This worked--little did I know how delicious the green bean recipe would actually be. This will be made again for regular and company meals.

This is green bean heaven! We love the combination of ham and green beans. Adding onions and garlic and cooking them in a small amount of liquid and butter is sensational. The only thing I would do different, is to serve this as a main course and the only course !!! Thanks, Inez.

I wanted to cry after trying these green beans, because this was the exact way my Dad made them when I was a kid. His recipe died with him, and I have never found just the right one. I am a Texas girl and these beans are about as southern as you can get! Thank you so much for sharing!!!
