A very simple dish for a beginner cook.

SERVES 3 -4 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

    Put the first five ingredients in a pan.

    Add water to barely cover these veggies.
  3. 3
    Bring to a boil.
  4. 4
    Cover and cook on medium flame for 15 minutes.
  5. 5
    Serve warm with rotis(Indian flatbreads).

    Enjoy!

I love this recipe - I always drain well, and instead of salt/pepper, use GARLIC PEPPER SEASONING with the butter, I think this transforms it! (in fact, I use Mrs. Dash salt free garlic pepper seasoning and it's fine) Hey, it's got lots of fiber and if you use lite butter it's lowfat too!

    This is something my family has a lot, though we microwave it. We also like to have more corn, because some people don't like peas very much! But it does have a boring flavor.

    I make this all the time and thought that I was the only person on earth that enjoyed just frozen corn and peas with butter salt and pepper. Apparently I'm not! One of my favorite side dishes with everything. Glad you posted this!!
