So far, I have been fortunate not to become ill this winter, so I cannot speak to the efficacy of this treatment. I tried it because I tend to have a lot of sinus drainage; at the end of the day I do not feel clogged up. I drank this straight (that is, without sugar), and it tasted somewhat bitter. I am so accustomed to adding sugar to my tea, even though my doctor swears I must lay off! Thanks for posting this recipe, Sharon, I'll try it again if I come down with a cold. Made for Photo Tag.

Enjoyed this immensely this morning. I really, really love Sharon's tea/detox/beverages ~ I always chose to make them; because, 1. I am never let down by them, either by the taste, the aroma, or the ingredients. Most of these recipes contain ingredients you have right in your home. 2. These recipes never fail on bringing your soul, your physical health, and your well-being to be better place. This is one such recipe. While this was simmering on the stove for the appropriate time, I took in the aroma with my sense of smell, and that alone clear some probable sinus problems. When I sipped this as I sat at the kitchen table this early raiiny Saturday morning, I just let the taste slide down my throat and really did feel as though my throat and all over well-being felt 100% better. I will post a photo on Sunday, as since it is so dark, alas, you would never see the tea cup. Thanks Sharon for another winner here. Will keep this in my good-feeling-good-for-the-soul recipe box. I just wanted to thank you for this recipe. I have been fighting off a cold for the past week or two. Everyone in my house including my fiance has had it in the time I've been trying to avoid getting it - but now I think it's safe to say that I've actually got the bug. I just brewed up a batch of your cold tamer tea and am sipping on the first soothing mugful as I write this. I had to cheat a little bit because I didn't have loose herbs on hand, but I did have chamomile tea, green tea with mint, lemon tea, and ginger tea, so I used 1 of each of those, plus 1 cinnamon stick and 2 large slices of candied ginger. This is a nice dark tea, which is my preference. I am now going to retire from the computer, grab a nice cozy magic bag, and curl up with a blanket in the recliner while I enjoy the rest of my (your) tea!
