This is a wonderful chocolatey tasting smoothie from "Hey Mom! I'm Hungry!" by Susan Powter. It makes a thin smoothie but we like it this way as dessert. Yum.

SERVES 4 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons Dutch-processed cocoa powder
  • 7 ounces fat-free sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups skim milk
  • 2 frozen bananas, peeled

Directions

  1. 1
Put all ingredients in a blender and mix.
  2. 2
    Serve immediately.

Very good for a fat free smoothie. Love the chocolate and banana flavor together, just sweet enough for us. Like the idea of the frozen banana instead of using ice cubes that would water the drink down as they melt. Thank you ladypit, we will be enjoying these again!

i really like the idea of the condensed milk in this, but have to confess to liking the taste of the blend better BEFORE i added the cocoa. for some reason, i didn't quite enjoy the cocoa taste in this - and i did use the exact type of cocoa as specified in the recipe. in the end i wished i had removed a serving from the blender before i added the cocoa. i will make this again as i really like the condensed milk in it, but it will just be a banana smoothie for me.

This drink is delicious. It tastes like a chocolate/banana milkshake. I followed the recipe as is and will be making this often. Thanks for posting
