All time favorite breakfast, lunch, snack, or bedtime snack for many kids.

    Mix the cinnamon and sugar together in a small bowl or measuring cup.

    Toast bread till brown (in toaster).

    Butter while hot.

    Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon mixture over toast.

    You rock Darlene! I haven't had this since I was a kid, yum! I'm out of breakfast food and wanted to eat something before I head to the grocery store (hungry and the grocery store don't mix well). I did have bread and the condiments. Thanks for reminding be of this treat!

    Oh, sweet memories of Mom! She lightly toasted and spread with softened butter, then sprinkled the cinnamon sugar on and broiled it in the oven until bubbly. THEN, drizzled a glaze over it made from powdered sugar, a little milk and vanilla. Like a cinnamon roll!

    This is the ULTIMATE breakfast/snacking toast! The key is to use lots of margarine, and spread it on while the toast is hot. I think I quite possibly could eat a whole loaf of bread this way! Although I usually prefer to use wheat bread in recipes, this one is definitely better with white bread! Have been eating this since I was a wee one, and have no plans of ever stopping!! Thanks for posting ~Manda
