Ingredients
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
- 1 egg
- 3 cups bread flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/4 teaspoons cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons yeast
Directions

Place ingredients in the bread machine pan in the order suggested by the manufacturer.2
Bake using the sweet bread setting if your machine has it.3
If not, use white bread setting.4
When the bread is done, remove from the machine and let sit on a rack for 10 minutes before removing from the pan.5
If it sticks, just loosen the sides with a pliable, plastic spatula and it should slip out easily.6
This makes a 1 1/2 pound loaf that rose really nicely.7
I did check the dough about 5, 10 minutes into the kneading cycle; if you squeeze a good amount of the dough between your thumb and fingers and it seems a bit moist, and some dough sticks to your fingers, it should be just right; if not, adjust with water or flour accordingly.

Wow! This bread is incredible! Smelling it bake was torture because it smelled so great! It baked up perfectly and was one of the best looking loaves I have ever made. I ran out of bread flour so I used 2 1/4 All Purpose with 3/4 C bread flour. I added an extra 1/4 t cinnamon and a splash of vanilla. Excellent bread! It really baked up like a nice loaf, looked almost store bought!

This is a very tasty bread! This was my first time using a bread machine. I learned that my machine needs to be scraped down during mixing. It actually turned out better than I expected. Just a tad bit on the gummy side. Very light cinnamon flavor. Yum!

This is so good. I have a cinnamon sugar bread machine recipe and I'll definitely replace it with this one. I baked mine on the light bread cycle. I totally agree that this would make excellent cinnamon rolls and I plan on trying it soon. Thanks for a delicious recipe. It is a keeper.

Mmmm, mmmmmm, goooooood! The only change I made was to use an extra 1/4 tsp. cinnamon. The entire house smelled wonderful while this was baking. We couldn't wait to try it, so we snuck a sample as soon as it came out of the machine. Three other people have sampled from this loaf, and I've received rave reviews from all of them. Next time, I may try adding another extra 1/4 tsp cinnamon and maybe some raisins to see how it will turn out. I've added this one to my cookbook so I don't "lose" it. Thank you so much for sharing this simple recipe!
