Cinnamon Butter

Recipe #66308 | 20 min | 10 min prep

I found this "clone" recipe at recipegoldmine.com. It is very similar to the cinnamon butter served at Texas Roadhouse restaurants in Dallas. They bring it to you to serve on their in house dinner rolls. (Please see recipe I posted for these rolls (Texas Roadhouse Buttery Dinner Rolls), just recently. I love how easy this is to mix up and serve, probably with ingredients you already have on hand. Cook time is prep. time.

1/2 cup (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Mix and beat all ingredients listed, together, until smooth.
  2. 2
    Cover and refrigerate over night.

I made this the other day and at first I skeptical because it looked like dirt. Then I added 2 more sticks of softened butter and it lightened up and looked just like Texas Roadhouse's spread (it also makes a whole lot more and doesn't affect the taste). It could use a tad less sugar and mine was crunchy so with the next batch I put the brown sugar in the food processor first to grind it up a bit. Also, if you're using real butter you don't have to refridgerate (same concept as a butter dish). Will make this over and over again...SUPERB!

This was a hit at last night's Christmas dinner. It does go great with rolls of all kind but my favorite combo is with yeast rolls. For anyone wondering about the oz conversion, I used 1/4 cup of brown and 1/4 cup of granulated sugars and the recipe amounts of butter and cinnamon.

Made this to go with my pumpkin nut bread for Thanksgiving. I did cut back on the two sugars though and it was plenty sweet. Thanks for posting this unusual and delicious recipe, Laudee.

This spread is wonderful. I made it to serve with some cinnamon swirl bread. It is also very good with toasted bagels, or straight out of the bowl. My recipe actually came out looking like the picture for once! Thanks so much for posting!
