This delicious sauce can be used on meats (especially grilled), or may be used as a dip, or on nachos. Whatever!!! Prep time does not include roasting green chiles.

4 cups (change servings and units)

Ingredients

  • 3 cups ranch dressing (I use Hidden Valley)
  • 1/4 cup green chilies, roasted, peeled and seeded (canned ok)
  • 1/4 cup pickled jalapeno pepper, sliced (from a jar)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons lime juice, fresh
  • 3 tablespoons cilantro leaves, fresh,chopped
  • 1 tomato, diced,and seeded (preferrably Roma)

Directions

  1. 1
Pulse all ingredients in a blender, in batchs, until smooth.
  2. 2
    Chill and use as needed.

We LOVE this sauce. I can't believe I haven't left a review yet. I've made it many times.

We had this with chicken tacos tonight. I buy a rotisserie chicken and freshly made corn tortillias with the fixings. This sauce adds a nice lime flavor with a nice kick. The only thing I would change would be to use a home made ranch. I don't personally like bottled ranch as they seem to have a sweet taste.

This sauce is absolutely fantastic on fish tacos! I wasn't sure what kind of chilies to use, so roasted some serranos and jalapenos. The only change I will make next time is to add more spicy chilies (maybe a little minced habanero?), only because I would like the extra kick. DS put this on his chicken fahitas and loved it too!
