The best Christmas snack you'll ever try---everyone starts asking for it weeks before Thanksgiving. A friend gave me the recipe, and she had found it in a magazine, "Southern Living Lady", I think.

2 -3 qts. (change servings and units)

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Rice Chex
  • 3 cups Corn Chex
  • 3 cups honey nut Cheerios toasted oat cereal
  • 2 cups small pretzels
  • 2 cups salted peanuts

  • 1 (12 ounce) bag holiday M&M's plain chocolate candies (red & green)

  • 1 (12 ounce) bag holiday M&M's peanut chocolate candies

  • 2 (12 ounce) bags white chocolate chips

Directions

  1. 1
Mix all ingredients but the white chocolate morsels in a large bowl.
  2. 2
Melt white chocolate morsels according to directions on the package.
  3. 3
Pour melted white chocolate over the cereal mixture and toss well to coat.
  4. 4
Spread on waxed paper and let sit until the white chocolate hardens.
  5. 5
    Store in an airtight container.

This is ok, awfully sweet, but then I knew it would be. I think my grandkids will love it tho. They need a sugar rush this time of year. I would make this again for them. I had to use regular m&ms as my little town store doesn't carry a lot of Christmas candy. It is pretty, very colorful. Thanks for posting. 1/12/09 I need to up my rating from 4 to 5 stars, my husband took this to work & the guys loved it. I found myself going back for a handful way too many time during the day. So it is added to the Christmas goodie list!

Great snack gift for CHRISTmas! Thank you so much for posting! I used stick pretzels but broke them in half and I only had rice chex so just used the full amount for that. It came out great! Thanks, CalicoCandy! This recipe made it into our Our Top Reviewed Recipes of 2007!
