Christmas Fudge Wreath - Rachael Ray

Recipe #105592 | 10 min | 5 min prep | add private note

By: suzy wonton
Dec 7, 2004

This is a recipe from Rachael Ray's 30 Minute Meals. I know those TV chefs make things look easy but this really is easy. There's no way to mess it up!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Lightly grease a 8-inch cake pan with softened butter.
  2. 2
Place a heavy pot on the stove and preheat it over low heat.
  3. 3
Add chips and milk and stir until chips are melted and milk combined.
  4. 4
Save the empty condensed milk can.
  5. 5
Stir in vanilla and remove fudge from heat.
  6. 6
Add nuts and currants and stir in immediately.
  7. 7
Cover empty condensed milk can with plastic food wrap and center it in the greased cake pan.
  8. 8
Spoon fudge into pan around can, making sure to recenter can if it drifts.
  9. 9
The fudge will set up almost immediately.
  10. 10
Garnish can only be added in the first minute or 2 the fudge is in the pan, so work quickly.
  11. 11
Decorate your wreath with"holly" made from cut candied red and green cherries.
  12. 12
A wreath left plain can be garnished with a pretty fabric bow when serving.
  13. 13
Chill covered in the refrigerator and slice fudge very thin when ready to serve, as a little goes a long way.

Fun, festive and FAST!!! - Perfect for the Holidays and great to "decorate" & bring as a little something - something to visits or to have about the house to bring out with hot bevies to guests... looks "special"...super sweet but that's fine by me around that special time of the year... A WINNER!!! I did it pretty much as stated and garnished it with the "candied fruit cake fruit" that I got teased for buying this past Fall (I KNEW it would find a purpose!!! ) - Thanks suzy wonton & Happy, Happy to all!!! Also... With other garnishes and decor presentation it can work year round!!! YUM!!!

This is an EXCELLENT recipe...which I discovered last year as it aired on FOOD NETWORK. It has become a tradition in our household! Everyone enjoys it...cause it's so rich and as recipe poster mentions...a lil'sure goes a long way! I omit the currants for preference. You will NOT be disappointed if you like FUDGE. TRY IT!
