Old Fashioned Double Chocolate Fudge
Sweet Dreams Chocolate Fudge Candy
From: StickyToffee

Fudge is my favorite candy and I've made hundreds of pounds of it in my lifetime. I was worried about stirring this while it was still hot since conventional wisdom dictates fudge must cool down before you stir it. No problem! You get to eat it that much faster!

This is so simple and really very good. I don't normally keep cream of tarter on hand, so I substituted 1/8 tsp baking powder and 1/8 tsp baking soda. Turns out fantastic. And sets up so nice. Thank you for the post

If you have not tried this recipe, do it now! We made one batch and had to immediately make another...it is so easy to make.

Made this last night and am planning on adding to the collection of goodies I'm giving at Christmas to my relatives. My parents already snuck a few bites after the fudge was cooled and they were impressed. Actually, my mom was floored at how well these came out. As this was my first time ever making fudge ( and using a candy thermometer) I was a little nervous. But everything came out GREAT! My mom is so jealous of my "fudge making abilities"...lol. I give all credit to this great and simple recipe. The only thing I did differently was eliminate the walnuts because I used chunky peanut butter. I'm making another batch tongiht for my mom to bring to her co workers tomorrow. This will sure make them glad to have come to work! Thanks so much.
