These are great little appetizers to add to your collection! NOTE: To make ahead, form dough into balls; place on a baking sheet & freeze until firm. Place in freezer bag. Store up to 2 weeks. To bake, place on a greased baking sheet. Bake in 375 oven for 18 to 20 minutes.

    Combine butter and flour in a food processor bowl.

    Process until well mixed.

    Add Monterey Jack cheese, chilies and garlic powder.

    Process until well mixed.

    Form dough into 3/4 inch balls; roll in Parmesan Cheese.

    Place on a greased baking sheet.

    Bake in a 375 oven about 15 minutes or until golden brown.

    Serve warm.

Oh so easy with a mild, subtle flavor. These made up in a flash, and after testing a few one evening, I stashed the rest in my freezer. A good appetizer to have on hand for unexpected guests. I increased the garlic powder some. The rolling in parmesan is an important and inspired step here. Thank you for the recipe, Canadian Cookie!
