Chicken Wings in Honey BBQ Sauce

Recipe #64639 | 2¾ hours | 10 min prep | add private note

One of my favorite Slow Cooker recipes and can easily be an appetizer or a main dish recipe. My Slow Cooker has a removable Corning-Ware crock which can be used on the stove-top, so I spray it with Pam and brown the wings in it which makes this recipe even easier.

32 appetizers (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Cut off and discard wing tips.
  2. 2
Cut each wing at joint to make two sections.

  4. 4
Season wings with salt and pepper, to taste.
  5. 5
Place wings on broiler pan and broil about 6 inches from heat for 10 minutes on each side OR until brown.
  6. 6
    Transfer wings to Slow Cooker.
  7. 7
Combine remaining ingredients in a bowl; pour over chicken wings.

My family really like these. I cooked them on low for about 5 hours. I removed all the wings and placed them in a greased baking dish and covered them with some sauce. I then broiled them for about 15 minutes. Our personal taste prefers a more sticky type of sauce and a little bit of crisp on the outside and this did the trick for us. Falling off the bone good!!! Thanks

So good. I did cut back on the soy sauce, but they are finger licking delicious.

These were fabulous! My husband and some of our guests hovered around the chicken wings telling the guests who just arrived that the wings were aweful just so they could have more! They said they were the best wings ever. I'd probably cut the soy sauce in half next time. Thanks for the recipie! It was a big hit!

I was out of honey so I subbed maple syrup. I also omitted the oil and added about 2 tbsp of butter---These wings are awesome!!!
