I have named this scrub after the Zaar member/chef who gave me the idea and inspiration to make this. There was a topic about nuts and their "use by date" I had a look in my kitchen cupboard and found ground almonds which had passed their date. I use almonds in the soaps I make, but at the moment I am into the salt scrubs. The vitamin E is in there for your skin and as an extra preservative. You can use different oil; choose any vegetable oil you like. I used almond fragrance oil for this scrub, and for the grated soap a cream bar. So Chia... here it is!

1 jar body scrub (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Mix salt, almonds and soap in a glass bowl.
  2. 2
Pierce or cut the vitamin capsules and add together with the glycerin and almond oil to the salt mixture, mix well and then add the fragrance oil.
  3. 3
Transfer to a jar, plastic preferred, and use twice a week as a body scrub when having a bath or shower.
  4. 4
When using it in the shower make sure you are on a non-slip surface.

WOW! WOW! And more WOW's! What a creative genius you are! And what a wonderful creation this is!! I made this(thanks to Chef Yogi who sent me essential oils) using ground almonds, Emami Herbal glycerin soap with saffron and turmeric(also good for improving the complextion of the skin), glycerin, Dabur Vatika hair oil(as a substitute for almond oil), regular table salt(for the sea salt)and about 30 drops of jasmine oil(my favourite essential oil as of date). Mmmmmm! I used this on my hands at first just to try it, and oh my goodness, I felt like my hands had just taken a dip in a tantalising & aromatic pool! I can't tell you how soft and smooth my hands feel after using this. This should indeed become a "REGULAR" with all the housewives(the lady should use this everyday after all the scrubbing she does on her dishes), this should become a regular with her. I swear on that! I did not have vitamin E capsules at home so I just had to leave it out this time, but I will try it the next time I make this scrub and post an update. Every ingredient in this recipe has equally contributed to making this a winner. I really wish you get more glowing reviews for this recipe. This is soooooooo good! Thank you so much for sharing! Countless THANK YOU's to you...... and to Auntie Chia, your inspiration to make this!

what a silly name for something that feels sooooo good in the shower! i don't have expired almonds but if i knew about this scrub i would never have thrown out my long expired hazelnuts. i used walnut oil and the rest of the staples from my pantry for this one- i loved the aroma and the feel, no one dead cell left on this bod! i actually used a semi coarse sea salt and it is just fine. thanks annelies, i'm so honored-and as soft as a babies.....never mind
