Cherry Pie Filling Bread

This bread is out of this world delicious. Wonderful served with with cream cheese.
SERVES 36 , 2 loaves
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups oil
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 (20 ounce) can cherry pie filling
- 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
Directions

Beat together oil, eggs and vanilla.2
Sift dry ingredients together and add to egg mixture.3
Stir in cherry pie filling and nuts by hand.4
Pour into 2 greased and floured loaf pans.5
Bake at 350° for 50 minutes to 1 hour.

I made this tasty bread over the weekend. What a great recipe! I poured all of the batter into a bundt cake pan (it all fit), and baked for about 55 minutes. YUMMMY! Thanks for posting, Marie!

I made a batch of this delicious bread to give our secretaries at school for Secretaries Day. I divided the batter into 4 mini loaves plus a wee bit left over for a muffin tin. They all really enjoyed it. Since it is such a moist bread, it is very delicate. Some of the cherries stuck to the pan and with it, the baked bread, so I had to carefully re-assemble some corners. Next time, I'll be careful to not have any cherries directly against the pan, only batter. Thanks Marie!

Wow this bread was fabulous!! I cut the oil down to 3/4 cup and then substituted 3/4 cup of applesauce with great results. I also used walnuts. Next time I think I will try cutting down the sugar a bit. I plan to make it for my next brunch potluck and I am sure it will be a hit!

Awesome bread Marie!! I love cherry pie filling and could eat it out of the can (dont tell anybody please) I only made 1 loaf because I knew I'd eat it all. DS loved it also and it was great toasted! I did use almon extract in place of vanilla and subbed some of the oil with applesauce. Next time I make a whole recipe and make it in mini loaf pans and freeze them. MIne did take a little longer to bake also. THANX MARIE!!!!!
