I decided to review this again, since I didn't make it the right way the first time, three years ago. Along side were mashed potatoes and green beans. This was VERY tasty! I'm also submitting new pictures to do the recipe justice!
Thank you!

Husband and I quite enjoyed this dish! I flattened 3 large breasts and cut one in half for sandwiches later (maybe with a little dijon mustard on a soft roll). Also replaced the thyme & savory with a 1/2 tsp. of salt-free poultry seasoning and a whole egg instead of the white. I would consider finishing the dish under the broiler next time to brown a bit more because we like our cheesy goodness a little crispy! A definite keeper - thank you!

Yum! So easy to make and very good! I did make it a little different than directed. I made it in a skillet instead of the oven so that my starving hubby could eat a little sooner-it took about 10 minutes that way!(= Thanks for posting, Bekah! I'll definitely be making this one again!

This was delicious! I didn't have any savory so I just added more thyme. I fried my own bacon slices to make bacon bits which I believe really enhanced the taste and texture. The only thing I'll do differently next time is use smaller chicken breasts or pound out large ones. The chicken I used was too thick and the taste didn't quite carry through the whole piece. A definite "make again" recipe, however.
