This is an adopted recipe. I shall be trying it out and then post any additional information if needs be. Feel free to try it out first and share your comments!

SERVES 8 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

    Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt together and mix with the grated cheddar cheese.
  2. 2
    Cut the butter into the dry ingredients, add the milk and mix quickly but thoroughly.
  3. 3
    The dough should be soft.
  4. 4
    Turn onto a floured board and knead lightly for a few seconds.
  5. 5
    Pat to a 3/8-inch thickness and cut.
  6. 6
    Bake on a baking sheet in a hot-oven (425°F) about 11-12 minutes or until lightly browned.

    Serve hot.

    This recipe was pretty good. My only complaint would be that they were a bit hard. My hubby loved them. Thanks for sharing!

    These were incredible! I made them to go along with a grilled salmon recipe (Honey Hoisin BBQ Salmon #41142). The only change I made was that I was cutting the recipe in half as there were only four of us, but I kept the cheddar to 1 cup. Unbelievable! I made four good sized biscuits and there wasn't a morsel left! Thank you for sharing this recipe. It was so easy to whip together I know I'll be making these many times over! LA

    Very good!! I forgot to add the butter after I had 'rolled out' the biscuit dough but still added the butter and the biscuits turned out great!! Absolutely full of flavor!! Oh yes, I lowered the temperature to 425 and they only took 12 minutes to back. Thanks for posting!!
