Sinfully yummy! I use my Caramel Sauce Caramel Sauce but you could use your own or store bought. Just make sure to use a really good one as it really shines here!

SERVES 6 (change servings and units)

Directions

  1. 1
    Combine first 4 ingredients well and stir in melted butter. It will be crumbly. Reserve one cup and press the rest into the bottom of a buttered pie pan or square baking dish.
  2. 2
    Arrange pears over crust and drizzle with caramel sauce. Sprinkle the reserved crust mix over top.
  3. 3
    Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and pears are tender.

    Garnish with whipped cream, freshly ground cinnamon and/or additional caramel sauce.

I loved it! I did substitute cardamom for the cinnamon and was really happy with the results. Excellent recipe. Thanks!

    This was great. I thought it might be like a crumble, but was pleasantly surprised at the crust crisping up. I cut the sugar back a little bit and halved the butter, and it still worked nicely. Add a little low fat vanilla ice cream for a real treat!
