Brilliant! Wonderful Recipe. Being Canadian with Maple syrup abound, I thought I should try this luscious looking cake. Thank you SO much for sharing this - your recipes are always delightful! We enjoyed this immensely.

An excellent recipe, made it with Vermont maple syrup and pecans and the flavors were still good, but will try with walnuts next time. The fudge frosting and filling was easy and much better than lots of frostings that are cooked to sugar ball stage. This will be a Fall favorite for us and it is being made for a local fair this november, will let you know how we do.
