Mmm mmm Good Comfort food! I made this as directed with red onion and light polish sausage. I ate a nice big bowl full for lunch all by itself and didn't need anything else. I LOVE the tangy sauce and that the cabbage doesn't get overcooked. Thanks for this EASY KEEPER recipe! Made for the ZWT4- Jefes.

So simple...and that's usually the best flavors! We used keilbasa and served this with some mashed potatoes and roasted veggies. Thanks for sharing!

Spasiba! This was truly great Russian tasting comfort food. I served the cabbage recipe over egg noodles. And, to include all the Russian National Vegetables in one meal, we had beets and a cucumber salad as sides. My boys (born in Russia) loved it all. I did cook the sausage in a bit of water for a couple of minutes before adding them - that way, I removed some of the fat.

YUM! I loved how easy fast this was. PLUS it was delicious. A great fall meal and I served it with mashed potatoes too. My husband liked it, but didn't "love" it as much as I did. (He prefers it grilled plain and dips it in bbq...shrug.) Anyway, I'm the cook and THIS is my favorite way. I used lite sausage & it turned out perfect!
