Buttertart Squares

I have not tried these myself, but Mom has and they are wonderful and less muss and fuss.

SERVES 24 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

  1. 1
    Combine flour and sugar, then cut 1/2 cup margerine. Press into a 9 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Let cool 10 minutes.
  2. 2
    Beat eggs and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the rest of the ingredients and pour over the base. Bake 25-30 minutes. Cool and cut.

These certainly are easy to do. Quite rich but then buttertarts are rich aren't they?? I froze leftovers for future company. Thanks CookingMonster.
