I was looking for a cut-out cookie to make at Christmas to break up the sugar cookie monotony. This recipe fit the bill. These were easy to make even for a novice such as myself. It took much less than 25 minutes to bake though more like 10-12 minutes. They tasted sweet enough on their own in my opinion, but I did jazz them up by drizzling white and semi-sweet chocolate over them.

These were great! I made two batches for a cookie exchange. I rolled and cut out into Christmas shapes and dipped in chocolate. They do taste good, but they were lacking a little bit of something. I think next time I might add a teaspoon of vanilla and that might do it. The dough was easy to work with and each cookie came out great!

This is the exact recipe I was looking for! I had lost my version and LOVE this shortbread, particularly dipped in chocolate. My only comment is that they took about 1/2 of the recommended baking time--maybe 14 minutes. Just keep an eye on them! Thanks for a delicious recipe!

Simple and tasty! I will be making these again! I excluded 1/4 cup of the flour, and sprinkled sugar on top. These are 5 star cookies, all the way. Thanks
