I make this for the guy's birthday breakfasts, at their request. Think this recipe comes from the Martha Stewart website.

I made this last night for dinner, but instead of baking it in the oven, I used my countertop electric griddle, which is how I normally cook bacon. I sprinkled some brown sugar over the pieces after I laid them on the griddle. The ones that didn't get burned tasted really good. Next time I will definaltely try this in the oven! Thanks for posting, this is a nice change to plain bacon. Not that plain bacon is a bad thing, not at all!

This was a holiday tradition in my family growing up. We "coated" the bacon with the brown sugar first (kind of patting it in on both sides) and then bake at 250°F for about an hour, pouring off the grease as needed. The results are a candy-coated bacon that melts in your mouth. We call it Candied Bacon and I adore it! Glad someone thought to post it here.
