I love to make these on the weekends! It's so versatile, too...you can mix & match your favorite bagels, cheeses and meats to create your own personal touch!

SERVES 1 , 1 sandwich (change servings and units)

Ingredients

  • 1 bagel (flavor of your choice- I prefer Everything or Egg bagels)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 slice cheese (flavor of your choice- I prefer American)
  • 2 pieces cooked bacon or sausage or deli ham or Canadian bacon (any breakfast meat)
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Directions

  1. 1
Place bagel in toaster and toast as desired.
  2. 2
Over medium heat, fry egg in frying pan.
  3. 3
Turn off heat but, leave pan on burner.
  4. 4
Place meat on top of egg and then the cheese on top of the meat.
  5. 5
Cover with a lid and let the heat melt the cheese.
  6. 6
    Butter toasted bagel.
  7. 7
Place egg, meat, and cheese pile on one half of bagel and top with the other half.
  8. 8
    Slice in half and enjoy!

Yum!! Are there any other words? So quick and easy — but so filling!!! Used american cheese and bacon, but could easily use leftover ham, etc. Will make often!

I had this for a late dinner tonight. It was fast and easy to make. I cooked the bacon and added it to the egg while cooking. I used American cheese. This was very tasty. Thanks.

MAKE IT HEALTHY! Only 175 calories and 2g fat! I made this bagelwich this morning by first toasting a WESTERN BAGEL "alternative" bagel-roasted onion flavor (110 calories), spray with a couple squirts of spray butter then spread with LAUGHING COW-french onion flavored spreadable cheese wedge (35 calories). Add a serving of EGG BEATERS southwestern style (30 calories) that I made in the microwave. I skipped my usual turkey sausage and fat free cheese...I honestly don't think it needs it!! TASTY!
