Bread Pudding

simple and tasty

SERVES 12 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

    Tear bread into pieces, put into greased 9x13 baking pan.

    Mix milk, eggs sugar and vanilla together, pour over bread pieces, being sure to soak well.

    Sprinkle top with cinnamon.
  4. 4
    Place butter pats randomly on top.
  5. 5
    Bake in 350* oven for an hour- 1hr.
  6. 6
    15 minutes or until puffed.
  7. 7
    Lt cool then add topping.

    TOPPING: 2 Tbls.

    cornstarch, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup water Boil until thick.

    Remove from heat, add 3/4 stick butter, 1 tsp.

    vanilla, stir until butter has melted, pour over top of pudding.

OH MY GOD! This was the first time making bread pudding. This recipe was so easy and SO GOOD. I added raisins and more cinnamon, as well as some spiced rum to the glaze, which I drizzled on top. Thank you!!!!

    This was wonderful and very easy. I think next time I would either leave the topping off or just drizzle a little over the top. The entire amount of topping made it a little too sweet.
