I searched and finally found this recipe on the internet. It is a copycat of the Bourbon Chicken sold in Chinese carry-outs in my hometown. This recipe is so good that my sons gobble it up leaving me just a spoonful. Their excuse was they thought I had eaten.

Super easy to make. It tastes great even when the measurements are not exact (I let my 3 year old "help"). If I need a shortcut, I buy roasted chicken from the Costco, use half and cut into bite sized pieces. I brown the chicken for a bit and then add the rest of the ingredients. This cuts down the cooking time to about 5-7 minutes. Thank you, LinMarie!

Very tasty! I took the advice of one reviewer and doubled the sauce. I think I will use the slow cooker next time so that the meat gets really tender. Added broccoli and served over rice- what a complete and delicious meal that even the kids liked! Thanks for posting!

Loved this recipe. Used orange juice instead of apple juice, balsamic instead of cider vinegar, and it still turned out great. Thank you.

Excellent recipe. I must confess when it was first published I enquired if the burbon had been left out of the recipe (I had never heard of Burbon Chicken) but can assure you that no burbon is needed. I served it over rice as suggested with oven baked asparagus and a carrot salad - fabulous meal. I used hot pepper flakes and fresh garlic (3/4 tsp) Nice heat great recipe thatnks LinMarie
