closest thing to Bob Evans I've had yet. I did have to thin it down a bit with 50% water and 50% heavy cream. I used the heavy cream to add a little more fat to the gravy, since fat equals flavor. Added some cracked black pepper also. My husband said he couldn't tell the difference and is asking for a second bowl of gravy as I type.

This made a nice quick dinner for us the other night. A good basic gravy. I felt it was too thick and ended up adding quite a bit more milk to thin it down. I also added a good bit of pepper to the recipe. i served the gravy with some homemade buttermilk biscuits. We have enough left for another meal. Always good in my book.

Nice and thick! I added about 1/4 tsp. of fresh ground pepper and this turned out great. May add more milk to thin it out a little next time. Served this with Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Biscuits. Thank you!

I used seasoned and also tried hot Italian sausage to make this easy sausage gravy! It just give's it a better flavor rather than just using a roll of pork sausage and black pepper. This sausage gravy is much better if it's made in advance to let the seasonings escape from the seasoned sausage.I also used Bisquick to make the biscuits.
