Wow, this was really delicious. I blended the oatmeal in a mini-food chopper first because I knew my blender would not make it fine enough for my tastes. Other alterations I made: I used a fresh banana and frozen blueberries; added 1/2 a teaspoon of vanilla because I used plain yogurt; threw in some ice and some Splenda; and I used vanilla soy milk. I did not tell my son it had oatmeal in it until he was done. He loved it. He said "It tastes like I'm drinking ice cream!"

I wasn't sure how well I would like this, but it was really good and I liked the texture too! I felt like I was getting a good healthy breakfast. I used almond milk instead of skim. Thanks Sally! Made for the Think Pink event.

I doubled the recipe for two. Easy to make and loved the blend of banana and blueberries. I used creamy Greek yoghurt, not as low in fat but so truly delicious it's the only yoghurt I buy. I'm not sure that I've had oatmeal in a smoothie before. It certainly added an unfamiliar flavour and texture but that was okay: the banana and blueberrries predominated. And knowing that the ingredients here were so very healthy was indeed satisfying! So, YES, I will make this again! Made for Everyday is a Holiday, December 2008.
