This is a really good recipe. I used butter instead of shortening only because I was out of shortening. Thanks for a great recipe.

I wish that I could say that this was the "Best-Ever"but it just didn't have the taste we were looking for in a biscuit. The taste to my SO and I seemed to be lacking "something"not sure what though. For some reason,I only ended up with 8 biscuits.I do have to say in all fairness, they did rise very nicely, and browned just fine. Thank you for posting, and "Keep Smiling"

Very nice biscuits, I made mine without the sugar or any other sweetening and upped the salt to a 1/2 tsp. They rose very well and were fluffy inside. Thanks so much for a lovely recipe.
