I don't care for sugar cookies at all and I thought these really were the best darn sugar cookies ever! These cookies are so light and have a fabulous texture. Everyone is sure to love them.

60 -70 cookies (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Cream sugar, butter, powdered sugar, and oil.
  2. 2
Then cream in eggs and vanilla.
  3. 3
In a separate bowl mix baking soda, cream of tartar, and flour.
  4. 4
Start adding dry ingredients to creamed ingredients less than 1 cup at a time.
  5. 5
Chill in refrigerator at least 2 hours.
  6. 6
Drop 1-2" balls on the cookie sheet.
  7. 7

Really not a big fan of sugar cookies at all... but my roommate wanted some, so I tried these out (so I wouldn't have to roll and cut and so forth!). They are excellent! Thanks so much!

These cookies are simply delicious! I got a little too busy this holiday, always waiting until the last minute to do things, that I forgot about the dough and came back two days later. It was wonderful, and actually the longer in the fridge, I think the better. Family enjoyed so much and I decorated them with colored sugar and they made a nice presentation on my cookie platters. Thank you so very much for sharing. May God truly bless you and yours!

These are an excellent sugar cookie. However, your yield amount is way off. I got 64 very large cookies. I wondered when I saw the 4 plus cups of flour. I will certainly make these again.
