Beer 'n BBQ Braised Country Style Pork Ribs

This recipe comes originally from the "Meat lovers Cookbook" - It is easy to put together and wait til you taste them.they are awesome - I served them with noodles and a green salad I sometimes add 3 cloves of garlic with the BBQ Sauce - Play with it to suit your taste.-

SERVES 6 -8 (change servings and units)

    Brown the pork in a lightly sprayed skillet on all sides (apprx 7 minutes).

    Place the ribs in an oven proof pan and scatter the onions all around them.
  3. 3
    Pour in the beer and seal with a lid or tin foil.
  4. 4
    Bake at 375F until the pork is tender 1 1/2- 2 hours.
  5. 5
    Pour out the beer.
  6. 6
    Slather the pork with the BBQ sauce and bake uncovered for 1 more hour or until the meat is brown and the sauce is thick.

    Enjoy.

My family enjoyed these. Only thing I changed was I boiled the ribs first, adding can of beer, onions and garlic to water before following posted directions. Also, did not cook it as long as posted since I had boiled them. Look forward to trying them cooked longer. Will make again. Thanks.

    Don't waste your $$$ at Red, Hot, and Blue or Damon's...this is MUCH better than any restaurant-prepared ribs I've ever had...this recipe is idiot proof too, which is a definite plus for my cooking skills and short attention span.

    Excellent!! Fall off the bone tender and delicious! I added garlic and basil and used Kraft Honey BBQ. We will definitely be making this again soon!!!!
