Beer Sausages in Beer Sauce

This is a good and quick appetizer. We use all different types of sausage and sometimes even add pineapple.

SERVES 4 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

    Cut cooked sausages into 1/2 inch slices.
  2. 2
    In skillet combine sausage and beer. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Combine brown sugar and cornstarch.
  3. 3
    Stir in vinegar, horseradish and mustard. Add to sausages. Cook and stir until bubbly.

    Keep warm and serve warm using toothpicks.

I made the sauce first and simmered it to reduce the amount. I then added the cut up kialbasa. Very tasty and everyone enjoyed it.

    I halved the recipe and we just snacked on them as we did other stuff. Great flavor! I am not a big fan of mustard so I cut that down a little, but the sauce ended up so tasty I think it was the right choice for me! Very easy to do. Used a pilsner for the beer but I think an ale or something darker would be awesome! Thanks! Made for the Babes of ZWT4.
