Beef And Pork Burgers

These burgers have more flavor than the all beef ones. I got the recipe from a friend and have made them a lot.

SERVES 8 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

    Preheat broiler.
  2. 2
    In skillet, cook bacon, onion, and garlic until bacon is crisp.
  3. 3
    Drain; put into lg bowl.
  4. 4
    Add all remaining ingredients; mix well.
  5. 5
    Shape into 8 patties.
  6. 6
    Broil, 6 inches from the heat, 7-8 minutes per side, or until done.

These delicious and hearty burgers reminded me of the type burger you get at Chili's!! Very good, juicy, and easy to make. I served them as hamburger steaks (no bun) with herb rice and green beans. It was a belt-loosening dinner!!

    Very nice burger recipe. I did however add chives, crushed fresh garlic (hmmm about 6 cloves - remember we Love Garlic!!) but omitted the water as I had bought double eggs and this made up for the moisture in the mix! I also omitted the bacon - have to watch our cholesterol intake! I also let the "mix" blend in the fridge for half an hour before placing the patties on the charcoal. Thanks for sharing this recipe!
