A modern adaptation of the American Indian Bean Bread

1 loaf (change servings and units)

    Mix all but beans thoroughly.

    Fold in beans.

    Pour into hot greased pan.

    Bake at 450 for 30 minutes or until brown.

Well this was a very interesting and unusual bread! I used baked beans and rinsed/drained them well to remove all of the sauce. I made this just as directed and it came out very soft and mushy, almost like a corn pudding. The texture was a little odd but the flavor was pretty good - I plan to try it again and add enough extra flour and cornmeal to produce something more like a cornbread. Not the same-old-same-old - thanks for posting this!
