A Cuban Drink. Please do use fresh mint. After making this you will be growing your own mint for this drink. I'm not a rum drinker till I discovered this Mojitos!

SERVES 1 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

    In a tall thin glass, crush or muddle part of the mint with a fork to coat the inside.
  2. 2
    Add the sugar and lime juice and stir thoroughly.
  3. 3
    Top with ice.
  4. 4
    Add rum and mix.
  5. 5
    Top off with the club soda (or seltzer).
  6. 6
    Add a lime or lemon slice and the remaining mint.
  7. 7
    Serves one.

This was just OK. We had to add a lot more sugar! And it needed more mint flavor. I think if you muddled the mint with the sugar it might help.

    Goooooood Mojitoooooo !!! I added maybe an extra 1/2 teaspoon of sugar and Bicardi for the rum. Love mojitos and this is a great recipe!!

    A refreshing drink for a hot summer day! I couldn't get fresh mint at my local market at this time of the year - so I substituted with 1/8 tsp peppermint extract. Thanx Rita!
