Barbecued Beefy Beans

Baked barbecued beans with ground beef & onions. Simple & delicious side dish for a cookout, potluck, picnic or family meal. Goes great with ribs, coleslaw and cornbread for a hearty dinner.

SERVES 4 -6 (change servings and units)

Directions

    Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat; sauté ground beef with onions until beef is browned and onions are tender.

    Pour off excess fat, and add remaining ingredients.
  3. 3
    Pour into a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish, and bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.

This was just a huge hit at a potluck. I followed the recipe as written but with a bit of mustard added. This was the only dish that ended up empty!! Really easy to do and sure much appreciated. Thanks for the post littleturtle.

    We just loved this! I added a touch more Tabasco and brown sugar to suit our taste. I serve this with pulled pork barbecue and potato salad! Thanks littleturtle!

    Very, very good. I made a half-portion of this recipe to serve with another dish at lunch and I should have made the whole amount. The kids loved it - so that always gets 5 stars in my books.

    This was very good. My husband even liked them and he's not a big bean fan. I followed the recipe exactly, however, next time, I think I'll reduce the amount of vinegar as that was a little to prominent for me. I might through in a little brown sugar as well to sweeten it up a bit. This would be a great dish to bring to a picnic or potluck. Thanks for the recipe.
