I am calling this dish a pudding for want of a better equivalent to the word sheera. This is definitely a dish you have to try. A dessert or a tea time filler.

I made this for a tea time snack alongwith puris this evening. Mmmmm....this tastes so good! I love the banana flavour in this, though I must admit, I'm not a huge banana fan and had never tried it in halwa, so I was a little afraid to try this dessert, but I'm so glad I did because now I know how yummy this really is. I did not add any raisins in this. Also, I used about 7 green cardamoms{powdered}. I used fresh milk for this and not half-and-half, ghee{no substitutes} and 1 cup sugar. Everyone really loved digging into this. I'll make this again when we buy bananas! Thanks, Fay for a good one!

Wow this tasted so, so good, but I think I may not have cooked it right, but it still tasted great!!!! Wasn't sure how much cardamom, 3 pods/teaspoons ground, so I added a few dashes of ground and I had no raisings but it tasted great. Will definitely make again. Thank you.

We like semolina pudding and my husband loves bananas...so I had to make this recipe. Followed exactly, only added some toasted slivered almonds when I served it. Hot or cold this is good! Thanks for posting this Fay!
