This is a smooth healthy shake/smoothie that everyone could enjoy. Little Miss (DD) loves her to drink banana shakes/smoothies so I had to slightly modify this recipe for her to be able to enjoy it. I used a very ripe banana and didn’t have a fresh orange at home so I used orange juice. I used a hand held blender to pulp the ingredients together. Original recipe comes from 'The Little Book of Alcohol-Free Cocktails' by Hamlyn

SERVES 2 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Place the banana, orange juice, honey and milk in a food processor and process until smooth.
  2. 2
Pour over ice into 2 tall glasses and sprinkle with cinnamon.

I enjoy smoothies and this one is very good! I love the combination of the banana with the orange juice. I used 2 percent milk. Thanks for sharing.

DM has been enjoying these smoothies (I've been making a few variations as well as the banana I have used fresh peaches, mango and rockmelon which all got 5 stars but the pears (fresh or tinned) only got any o'k. Thank you Chef floWer for not only a keeper of a recipe but very versatile one as well. Made for Edition 3 - Make My Recipe - a game of tag.

Nice refreshing shake Chef floWer! Made this for my bf after his workout - he loved it! Not too sweet, just perfect! Made my own orange juice with one big orange. Thanks Chef floWer!
