Banana Nog

A refreshing summer shake. Sugar can be omitted for a healthier shake. Found this recipe in Boy's Life magazine 20 years ago and have enjoyed it ever since. Other fruits can be used for different "Nogs". Try strawberries or peaches.

It's an awesome recipe, however, I don't see the use of "sugar" as being in any way shape or form, healthy. Why not buy the drink in bottle at the supermarket when its been processed and mixed up with sugar? If you were to add a bit of fresh apple juice to this, that would give an awesome sweetness but without all of the unhealthy side affects.

Excellent health shake! First of all, I'd recommend doubling the recipe! I also added about 8 fresh strawberries to the mix... and a bit more sugar. These disappeared way too quickly. Thanks, Andrew for posting my new favorite smoothie recipe!
