Banana Cake With Cream Cheese Frosting

Very moist and delicious with cream cheese frosting.

SERVES 6 , 1 nine inch square cake (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Cream Cheese Frosting

Directions

    Cream margarine and sugar.
  2. 2
    Add egg, bananas and vanilla.
  3. 3
    Blend well.
  4. 4
    Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  5. 5
    Add 1/3 of the dry ingredients to the banana mixture alternately with 1/2 of the milk.

    Blend after each addition.
  7. 7
    Pour into 9 inch square pan.
  8. 8
    Bake in 350F oven for 45-50 minutes.

    Cream Cheese Frosting: Beat cream cheese and butter together.
  10. 10
    Add powdered sugar to taste.

    Delicious!! This banana cake was moist and full of flavor. I thought the amount of frosting called for in the recipe was going to be too much for the size of this cake. I halved the frosting ingredients and it turned out to be the perfect amount of frosting. Also, I added a little vanilla to the frosting. My family loved this cake and gave it 2 thumbs up. Thank you for sharing...this is a keeper.

    I have a stick thin 20 year old son who rarely eats sweets at all (not even soda!) When he tried this he insisted I had to make it again. Outstanding.
