I wrote a helpful review, I thought but it never has appeared. I loved this cake but I made it better I think by adding 1/3 to 1/4 c of Hersheys syrup to a small amt of batter and marbled it thru the cake. I'ts my absolute favorite cake. Dolores Armstrong dja@netzero.net

This was the best banana cake I've ever baked! I use abanana cake mix instead of yellow and add some vanilla to the batter. I've already made it four times and everyone loves it! Thanks for posting this recipe.

I baked this almost 50 minutes, and assumed it was done. After it cooled and I sliced it, I discovered it wasn't quite done yet! I would definitely try it again and bake it still longer. The flavor and texture was very good....on the baked parts!

Better than Banana Bread any time. I added 1/2 c. flaked sweetened coconut and 1/2 c. chopped nuts. Next time I make it I'm trying replacing half the water with pineapple juice.
