I know... Not ANOTHER chocolate chip cookie recipe... BUT, you'll find that these are sheer perfection, large bakery-style, thick and chewy, cookies that taste as good as they look with a fool-proof set of instructions. It was pointed out to me that this recipe is from Baking Illustraded, perhaps so as I wrote down the ingredients from a morning show years ago! Thanks for letting me know.

Simply Excellent As I didn't have any unsalted butter , I used Salted but omitted the salt addition. I will defiantly be making these again. Also I had no problem with them flattening out from 'ball' shapes in the oven. Thanks for sharing. :D

I can't say enough good things about this recipe. Absolutely the best chocolate chip cookies I have ever made, and I've made a lot! They came out really thick and chewy, and didn't spread too much in the oven like the Toll House recipe. My new favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe!

These are the best cookies I have eaten in my life. I made them for my husband at Valentine's Day and he also thought they were fabulous. The only change I made was using salted butter as that was what I had. This will be a recipe that I will use forever. Never in my long life of cooking have I made a more perfect cookie.
