I always have the ingredients on hand to make this dish. I usually serve it with steamed rice.

SERVES 4 -6 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

  • 6-8 boneless skinless chicken breasts (or chicken tenders. If you use chicken tenders, will need to use 14-16 tenders.)

  • 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 cup grated cheese (your choice of cheese)
  • 2 cups seasoned stuffing mix
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted

Directions

  1. 1
    Lightly spray 9 X 13 baking dish.
  2. 2
Arrange chicken breasts in baking dish.
  3. 3
    Combine soup and water.
  4. 4
    Pour over chicken.
  5. 5
Sprinkle cheese on top of soup mixture.
  6. 6
Sprinkle stuffing mix on top of cheese.
  7. 7
    Drizzle melted butter on top.
  8. 8
Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 1 hour.
  9. 9
(When using chicken tenders the cooking time decreases.).

OMG!!! I made this for my husband tonight, and it was awesome!!! I substituted chicken broth for water for a stronger chicken flavor. I'll definitely be recommending this to my friends and family!!! Thank you so much for posting it!!!!

This dish pleased all members of my family at the same time...unheard of previously! This was so quick and easy to throw together so that makes it 'after-work' friendly as well (when I'm brain dead from a bad day). I used up odds and ends of cheese in this, which went over well with me also! Great recipe Juenessa, thanks!
