Bacon Tater Tots Bake

Another of my family's favorite recipes from Quick Cooking

SERVES 10 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

  • 2 (10 3/4 ounce) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted

  • 1 1/3 cups sour cream
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 lb sliced bacon, cooked and crumbled

  • 1 (32 ounce) package frozen tater tots

Directions

  1. 1
    In a large bowl, combine soup, sour cream and onion. Add the bacon and Tater Tots; stir until combined.
  2. 2
    Transfer to a greased 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking dish.
  3. 3
    Cover and bake at 350° for 50 minutes.
  4. 4
    Uncover and bake 8-10 minutes longer or until golden brown.

    This is pretty darn good. I used reduced fat sour cream and soup as well as low sodium bacon. A delicious side dish and easy to make. I topped mine with reduced fat cheddar cheese.

    Mmmm mmmm good! My family LOVES tator tot casserole, but we'd never had it with bacon or sour cream before! I added a can of green beans, a dash of garlic and sprinkled some cheese on top. We'll definitely make this again!
