If you wish you can pre steam the ribs in the oven for 30 minutes and cut down the BBQ time. Put the ribs on a cookie sheet add 1 cup of beef broth, seal with tin foil and put in a 325°F oven. Thee BBQ time will now be about 30 minutes and I find the ribs are more tender. Adjust the seasoning to your liking. Serve with salads and baked on the BBQ potatoes

Your Sauce recipe is outstanding. The ribs turned out pretty good due to the fact I was watching them on the grill every 10 minutes, and that was on LOW heat. When you say place ribs over medium heat? Does that mean meat side down? Or bone side down??? Need to be more specific on the actual grilling directions. Other than that these ribs are great.

This is an awesome recipe! I tripled it and put the ribs in a roaster with the broth as suggested, for 30 mins. Then I marinated all afternoon, and we BBQd them with extra BBQ sauce, though I liked the marinade on its onw. I concur that it's great on chicken, too! Really yummy, really easy... my crew was more than satisfied!

OK! So here is what I did to make these ribs. I followed your recipe but I DEFINANTLY changed the cooking part, but only as an experiment not because the recipe posted didn't sound great...it did. They turned out wonderful. I did marinated them in the sauce but then I cooked them in the oven IN the sauce for 30 minutes and then I grilled them and basted with the sauce until they were done. OUTSTANDING!!! My kids went CRAZY for these ribs...my dog loved the bones LOL. This was an amazing recipe...the sauce was easy to make and just excellent!!! Thank you for a great recipe.

No so thrilled with the marinade...I guess my tomato sauce wasn't right, it just didn't seem to work with the beer, was a strange flavour. We doctored it up with other ingredients and got it tasting good, but as is it wasn't working for me. I followed the 'steaming' directions which was great and saved me lots of hassle pre-boiling.
