I created this recipe using 13 ingredients for RSC Lucky #13 And each ingredient supplying the amounts of 1 and or 3 in each ingredient amount. This is a high protein dip-spread is a take-off of Hummus. This is lemony, garlicky, and nutty! The can of chick peas starts at 15 ounces then drain and you have 13 ounces. Do enjoy this Fun Masterpiece!

I hate giving such a low review but I really had high hopes for this contest recipe. I felt the peanut butter and soy sauce was VERY overpowering. This was not really hummus like at all in flavor or consistency. I like the thought that went into this, using the number 13 however, 1/3 of a teaspoon? Who has a gadget that measures that? Same with a dry measure of 1/3 cup which imho would be used for the peanut butter. I had to pull out my trusty equivalency sheet so I could calculate some of these measurements as I wanted it to be as accurate as possible especially for a contest recipe. I do wish you luck and hope that others enjoyed your creation more than I. Sorry chef.

This gets five stars for taste and originality. I love that the chef carried the 13 theme throughout. The scant amount of honey and soy aren't tasted in the final product so I don't think they can count toward the five required contest ingredients. The cucumbers and baby carrots should have been put in the ingredient list to make this the winner, but it's definitely a great recipe I'll make again.

I had high hopes for this one!!! I had never made homemade hummus (although I knew it was easy), so I had a ball making it. I even made some home made pita chips, so DH was impressed with this appetizer. However, the peanut butter was overpowering and it would probably have been at least 4 stars without it. Not quite Indian, not quite Middle Eastern, just kind of strange for us. We both ate a few bites and that was it. Sorry for the 3 stars, as I don't like to give them.
